Our History
It all started in Aionia, our neighbouring country. A mystic place that was ruled by the gods making it a very dark place to live. Internally, the inhabitants of the country wished for an independent life without the reign of the gods, but no one dared to rebel against them yet. Everyone obeyed. Until a girl named Varuna changed everything.
Varuna was an extraordinarily tough girl, who was the first one that had the courage to leave the country, against the will of the gods.

Nobody had ever dared to cross the border before as there was nothing good in sight, only dessert. No humans or animals, not even water or plants. No reason to go there. Nevertheless, Varuna had a vision for this meaningless place and would do anything to leave the reign of the gods.

And that’s where our story begins. The story of our country V A R U N A.

After crossing that border her long journey through the vast dessert began. Without any signs of life for several days, keeping her vision for a better society alive wasn’t getting any easier. However, she kept pulling through. And then, out of nowhere, Varuna reached a big old tree. She layed down and enjoyed the first shady place she had seen in a long time. She was very exhausted and wanted nothing more than a sip of water. Suddenly, her wish seemed to have been heard and was fulfilled. The dry tree began to lose water and bloom up, turning the place into the first beautiful oasis of the country. From that moment on, more oasis's began to grow all over the country.

Varuna realised that she was in a very special place and did not give up on her vision to make her deepest dream come true: her own society. A society in which the people are in touch with nature, where there’s a freedom of thinking and where everyone is living in peace.

And indeed, also this wish came true because in the meantime a rebellious group inspired by Varuna was formed and therefore got banished from Aionia. They also entered the yet unknown country.
The independent society Varuna dreamed of was created.
