Meet Eli
Our marketing persona is someone out of one of our nomadic groups. As you may know by now, Varuna is a nomadic country. Roughly 100 groups that consist of 100 people move around Varuna. A group stays in the same place for 6 months. Each group has an hourglass that indicates when to move. The groups travel from one oase to another. Each oase consist of a huge lake, beautiful plants, foods and animals. There are also big tents in which every family can live during their stay.

Family : Eli comes from a family of three children, meaning he has two siblings. Being 35 right now and all grown up, he is starting a family of his own. A couple of years ago he got married to the love of his life, Avery. Besides “real” families, the group where he lives in is also very close to each other. Within each nomadic group there are deep connections and bonds. Everyone treats each other like family.
Education
In Varuna there is a special education system. Going to school from 8 until 4 doesn’t exist here. Our inhabitants consider life as a learning journey. Meaning that everyone, at every age and point in their lives are learning constantly. Everyone also learns from everyone. Kids learn stuff from their parents, from the elderly and from all the other inhabitants. These are a few of the things that are being taught.

Eli wakes up when the sun rises as he is very much in tune with his body and with nature. After waking up he immediately goes for a swim at the lake in the oase. Surrounded by all sorts of plants, trees and flowers it is the perfect way to start the day for him. After his swim he goes to the hourglass to see when they have to prepare to start moving again. Following he eats breakfast with the ones of the group that are already up.

A day in the life
During the day he does a lot of different things. He makes clothes from the animals of the group. He teaches the kids about his skills and knowledge. He writes stories to tell at the campfire at night. Differing from day to day he also likes to meditate, work-out our give workshops to tourists when needed.
When the sun goes down every family cooks for themselves and spend quality time together. A little bit later at night, every member of the group gathers around the camp fire. It is a time to really connect with everyone and have a fun time. Eli really likes to create and tell stories, so that is one of the things that he does for the group at night. Making him a valuable member of the group by being a part of creating a good atmosphere.
